@Rural 14, thanks for your compassion, for using eSnipe and for the pointer. I shall investigate the latter. I think the theory behind the cardiologist-developed diet I'm on is that one gets enough fats & oils as naturally occurring food components. Still, you're right. It is not in fact sustainable for me. It's so unpleasant that I am introducing a little fat back in. Test results should be illuminating. What bothers me is that in theory this should work just fine: after all, presumably humans got by for millennia without much in the way of food preparation and refinement. Theory and practice make strange bedfellows...

Hi - I'm an esnipe user for quite awhile, at least 5 years, though i don't use it much / don't buy too much stuff; but needed a part for my busted cuisnart, put in an esnipe bid (using my wife's account), and found your blog - very nice!

A thought re the diet thing, having gone through various iterations of helping heal via diet. There's a lot of conflicting info out there; all of it is partially right. But you DO need fats and oils; in the long term, your diet is going to be unsustainable in addition to being unpleasant. Take a look at this guy's website - marks' daily apple (google will get you to it). I don't love the rah rah aspect, but there's a lot of great information on it; and I believe in the power of the hive mind / and sorting through etc etc. I was completely raw for 4 years; had all sorts of benefits, but also downsides; this more moderated with fats diet / but no sugars via grains, was crucial for healing for me. And i know a number of diabetics who have totally taken charge of their health / insulin swings & management with this diet. Feel free to email me (you have my email) if you want more info (and i'm not affiliated / there is no MLM thing here - I was just moved by your blog post / concerned that to my knowledge you are doing yourself a disservice. Keep up the good work!
